My adventures at Sea World with the Discovery Educator Network prompted me to return with my daughter and granddaughter to experience the DIP - Dolphin Interaction Program. Mom passed away in August 2007 and we honored her request to place her ashes in "her" river. It was a very hot, beautiful day when 20 members of our family walked the river's path to find the right place for mom. The spot found us as the trail was blocked by some thick mud piles from the summer storm earlier in the week. We stepped off the path and found a lovely, quiet pond with cattails and "sitting stones" for pausing to visit.

A few short years ago, when I was in high school, I was blessed with the role of Maria in West Side Story. Ours was the second high school on the west coast to be allowed to produce the musical. (A good friend of mine played Maria two weeks earlier.)
