Have you ever met someone and you know you are going to be great friends. You even realize that you LOVE that person? Jannita is that person.

My hubby and I just want to wish Jannita a really happy birthday.

My adventures at Sea World with the Discovery Educator Network prompted me to return with my daughter and granddaughter to experience the DIP - Dolphin Interaction Program. The weather was perfect and we had a fabulous time. I bet our smiles are all you need to know that!

Mom passed away in August 2007 and we honored her request to place her ashes in "her" river. It was a very hot, beautiful day when 20 members of our family walked the river's path to find the right place for mom. The spot found us as the trail was blocked by some thick mud piles from the summer storm earlier in the week. We stepped off the path and found a lovely, quiet pond with cattails and "sitting stones" for pausing to visit.

Saying a few words for mom, brother Bill began to place her ashes in the water. I felt compelled to switch from still frames to movie and documented the last 20 seconds of the process. Viewing it later I discovered that mom let us know she was happy in her new home.

A few short years ago, when I was in high school, I was blessed with the role of Maria in West Side Story. Ours was the second high school on the west coast to be allowed to produce the musical. (A good friend of mine played Maria two weeks earlier.)
Many of us received reel-to-reel tape recordings of our show. That's the best we had back then! Recently mine was digitally converted - as one looooong song and I can now edit the show and create my own album. I'm posting a few for your listening pleasure. I hope you enjoy it as much as I do!

My daughter's recent trip to Hawaii (think we like it there?!) took her snorkeling with the manta rays. She loved it!
